Role Overview – Barclays Salesforce Engineer 2025
As a Salesforce Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Salesforce applications that drive digital transformation at Barclays. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to deliver scalable and secure Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and DevOps automation tools like Jenkins.
You’ll play a key role in building integrations, improving system efficiency, and maintaining compliance with data security standards — while supporting the business to enhance customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Triggers, and LWC.
- Configure and optimize Sales Cloud and Service Cloud for business needs.
- Integrate Salesforce with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
- Implement DevOps automation pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Perform code reviews, testing, and production support for Salesforce releases.
- Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance across environments.
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to refine user stories.
- Apply Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality, incremental releases.
Candidate Profile
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Flows.
- Experience in Salesforce Administration — roles, profiles, sharing settings, and workflows.
- Exposure to integration design, API management, and data migration.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, or CI/CD platforms.
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with nCino, Omniscripts, and AppExchange solutions.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer I/II, Administrator.
